I hate Blogger

Sorry.
Like, I know it's pretty good and all...
but trying to edit the HTML on this thing just sucks entirely.
I think I'm going to open a WordPress.

My first Final Cut product

Check out my first Final Cut product =)

Comm3510: Web Design Recap

So today I was at school for 11 hours straight.
Literally.

Tonight was the last night of class for Web Design =(
We had to present our final projects to everyone and turn in our 10-page papers.
I've never been good at speaking on-the-spot...
I hope I didn't sound like an idiot.
Honestly, I think that only the first five or six people that presented actually made good sites.
The rest were, well, what I expected.
Among them were Scott's page and Sierra's Page.
Sierra was actually my designer, so to see her create a site with my content was a very nice change.
Honestly, at first I didn't think she could pull it off, but she proved me wrong!
Check out her sweet work here.
Also, Scott's page caught my positive attention.
It's very professional-like and I just overall enjoy it.

Well, I am definitely sad that the class had to end so soon.
I really enjoyed it and I have to say that that was one of the best classes I have ever been in.
I learned so much; probably about 85% of the things I know about web design now I learned in that class.
And the best part?
Is knowing that I will retain all of that knowledge =)
Nonetheless, I am way excited for next semester - bring it on, Advanced Web Design!

By the way, I would like to shout out to Kramer in this post.
He's been very motivating and supportive lately!
Thank you!
It means a lot to me =)

Sorry guys - it's been a while.
It's finals week for me, and I have been super, super, super duper busy =(
All of my projects have taken me at least a few days (each) to complete, and I'm not even done yet.
I still have the final project for my writing class to complete, as well as the final project for FA2000.
As soon as I can get those done, I will be done until next semester!

I am currently waiting for my first Final Cut project to upload onto YouTube so I can show you all my mad skills.
Hahahahaha.....
I wish.
I never thought I would be interested in film, but seriously, I am really enjoying learning Final Cut.
I will post the link when it's done processing on YouTube.

Underestimated

It's up!
http://fs.finearts.utah.edu/~u0545583/DWproject/index.html
Go check it out...

So...who here feels unappreciated and underestimated??
ME!! ME!!!
I don't know what it is about people, but
  • no one seems to think that I know anything, OR
  • no one seems to care that I have the skill or education to help or give advice.
I might as well be mentally retarded.
(I take that back...I really don't want to ever become mentally retarded =[ )

I'm not going to school for nothing...
I'm learning just as much as any other person...If not MORE.
I'm just getting really sick and tired of
  • people thinking that I'm just another one of those "useless", uneducated people, and
  • throwing out ideas just to end up wasting my precious energy.

Whether it's web design, graphic design, or photography - I know that this field is really competitive, but I only know of a few other people (out of the hundreds that I know) that are in this field.

Ideally, people should put their trust in me, in my skill, and in my passion, because it doesn't take "just another person" to know what I know and to do what I do.

So, I would really appreciate it if people could ask for my opinion and actually use my advice, or ask for my help and let me help, instead of just blowing it off like I'm just some know-it-all.

I do have to give credit to a special someone at work, though.
Thank you for calling me a professional photographer.
By no means am I a professional (I would love to be), but finally, someone that actually acknowledges my skill!

...You have no idea how much that means to me.
